Becoming your true divine self, you must understand that you are not expected to be completely perfect. In fact, it's better to be more aware of your imperfections so you can work on them. Now I'm not saying this to burst anyone's bubble. Yes, getting tarot readings on shadow work is a great start. It shows that you are taking accountability for recognizing what you know you need to work on. But in some cases, and what I see with clients is that they may need to take things a step further in improving the status of their mental health by seeking professional help such as therapy. Yes, therapy.
I know some may oppose this thought because of the stigma that is attached to it, and this stigma is common amongst most minorities. This comes with a label for some reason in which I will never understand. Wanting to improve your mental health and remove blockages from your mind so you can live a better life should never be looked down upon. It pushes you a step further to living your truth, your path.
Did you know unhealed trauma (I spoke about this in my previous article based on love connections) has a way of lingering into your everyday life as the years go on. It becomes part of your inner child and turns into triggers that you may not even be aware of. Such triggers can be communication problems, trust issues, a lack of self-compassion, and insecurities. Common within women, we tend to take our hits and keep it moving. No real clarity or healing; just swallow our pain and live another day. This can lead to emotional imbalance or availability. Either we are too emotional or too cold, not able to be nurturing. I'm not speaking on this topic from a place of not understanding because I truly do. I'm speaking from experience. When my clients express their experiences to me on what can be hurting them and causing them blockages. The distress of their everyday problems I feel for them. I was there, been there, done that. Now I'm expressing the importance of healing and processing these traumas with extra help if needed.
Spirituality + Therapy 🧘🏾♀️
Combining spirituality into psychotherapy can provide numerous benefits to all those seeking treatment. One advantage is that it can provide a greater sense of meaning and purpose, which can lead to increased happiness and a more positive outlook on life. It can also help people cope with complicated emotions and experiences by giving comfort and support. Meditation and prayer are spiritual practices that can help people develop mindfulness and a deeper understanding of their inner selves.
Therapy can help relieve the signs of stress, depression, and other mental health conditions.
Increased self-awareness: Therapy can help people understand their own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
